Celebrities have a certain mystical charm about them. Maybe it’s their flawless skins, glossy thick manes, sparkling eyes or radiant smiles. They are well-versed in the art of stealing the show with just being there. It’s true that most have teams of make-up and hair artists making sure that not even a hair on their head is out of place. Still, they aren’t without some beauty hacks of their own.
And it’s safe to say that being under constant spotlight does demand more from a celebrity than us common folks. Yet, we all equally, celebrities included, look for ways in which we can take better care of ourselves and look our best selves. It’s natural to do so. However, some of the celebrity beauty hacks may seem very weird in contrast to others. The best part is that they don’t cost thousands of pounds or anything, they are, in fact, all very affordable.
Here are a few of them:
The dreamy and heart-melting smile of the celebrities is no secret. When you look at them, it just seems like they’re sheer perfection. Not only their teeth are straight, but they are also sparkly white, straight out of a toothpaste commercial. But the thing is that not all are born with such a natural gift. Many do smile makeovers popularly known as the “Hollywood Smile.” It’s easy to get that for yourself too through getting new teeth in Turkey.
Whether your teeth are badly stained, damaged or have gaps in between, veneers can give that picture-perfect smile. Many Hollywood heartthrobs have them, most famous of all – Tom Cruise. You might be familiar with his before transformation teeth that were misaligned and discoloured. It’s not just him, but Cardi B, Ben Affleck, George Clooney and Catherine Zeta-Jones are no strangers to it either.
Using Coconut Oil
Be it your hair, skin or food, Coconut oil has countless benefits. So, it doesn’t come as a surprise that it’s a beauty staple of many celebrities. Kourtney Kardashian uses it as a mouthwash. Research shows that oil pulling can actually help improve your dental health by getting rid of harmful bacteria residing in the mouth. There are other advantages to it such as fresher breath, prevention of cavities and tooth decay and whiter teeth etc.
The Olsen twins’ gorgeous hair is also nourished by none other than this magical oil among a combination of them. Jesinta Campbell, Miss Universe Australia 2010, uses it for her body, hair and even makeup removal.
You’d think that not using a brush whether it’s for hair, makeup or even for curling eyelashes may lead to nothing but disaster. For celebrities, that’s not true. They know how to look nothing short of glamorous even without them.
Ashley Olsen uses a toothbrush to set her eyebrows for a signature look. Miranda Kerr used the back of a spoon to curl her eyelashes when a mascara brush wasn’t around. The latter technique might sound a bit odd to those are used to mascara brushes, but a spoon has actually been used for years for a perfect curl.
Applying Apple Cider Vinegar
This condiment has been used for exfoliating skin, rinsing hair, as a mouthwash and, of course, food. It can help lose weight, lower blood cholesterol levels, kill harmful bacteria, treat dandruff, improve oral health and clear up the skin.
Kourtney Kardashian, after coconut pulling, uses apple cider vinegar mix with water as a mouthwash while Salma Hayek rinses her hair with it. But Scarlett Johansson’s takes its usage even a step further by using apple cider vinegar as a toner. She uses it to keep her skin pH levels balanced and deal with breakouts. Although she does say that it smells!
Not Playing by the Rules for Hair
When it comes to looking stunning, hair plays a crucial role. Even when you’re going for the messy hair look, the locks should look soft and shiny. Many celebrities have found solutions for keeping their hair beautiful, and they differ quite a lot.
It’s well-known that washing hair every day can be quite damaging so, one celebrity has quite a unique way to approach the problem. Kim Kardashian does not wash her hair until after every five days. She uses day one to day four of her hair to her advantage for different styling. Suki Waterhouse sometimes uses Coca-Cola to rinse her hair, which is very unconventional, to say the least.
And let’s not forget mayonnaise hair mask. Zoe Saldana and Blake Lively have claimed using it for healthy hair. It might be hard to imagine doing that, but one needs to look at their hair and definitely get a jar of mayonnaise.
While some of the hacks might be weird, they are all actually quite easy to do and not very expensive. There’s the other thing where you have social proof literally from celebrities to use daring products for results that we can all see.
