http://oceanadesigns.net/images/granite/giallo-farfalla/giallo-farfalla.jpg The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2% can work wonders ! My skin had gotten used to my previous care and started breaking out again, a new pimple or three every morning, with congestion bumps up my cheeks. This is an overnight product for me(can really damage your skin in the sun, always use an SPF moisturiser or just sunscreen).
http://oceanadesigns.net/images/granite/giallo-macauba/giallo-macauba.jpg This is an effective lactic acid peel, minus the frills of a higher-end brand. Obviously, The Ordinary cuts the price partly by cutting out all of the additional “beneficial” ingredients that other more expensive products have, but personally, I am fine with that and would prefer a very basic formulation at a reasonable price point. I put this on at night about two to three nights a week, directly onto my skin after I’ve washed my face, and wake up with smooth, glowing skin. It does not dry me out – which is saying something, as I use a prescription BP on the nights I don’t use this – and does not cause any irritation or redness or breakouts. It does what I need it to do and has really helped get rid of the dull, sad skin I always get in the depths of winter. It hasn’t helped too much with pigmentation/acne scarring, but I’ve been using Vitamin C to deal with that.
here Packaging is clean and easy to use. It doesn’t smell amazing, but it’s not something that bothers me. It disappears very quickly. One bottle has lasted me about 3 months, using it 2-3x a week.
I would do your research before utilising The Ordinary’s line. They assume a general knowledge of skincare and you have to play with layering different products before you get something that’s similar to, for example, a regimen of Good Genes and Luna. But this is definitely a standout product in their line for me, and definitely worth a try if you are looking for a gentle peel.
