Hotel Review – The Hoxton, Holborn – London

The Hoxton

We fancied a break from home for 24 hours, so we found The Hoxton hotel, in Holborn, and me and my fiancee were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional services here and friendly staff. It’s in a great location with tube station around the corner, Soho within walking distance, easy walk to most theatres, the British Museum, and plenty of restaurants at hand. I absolutely loved the style of the hotel, it was so retro and quirky, it didn’t have that uptight stuff feel to a normal hotel.

The whole place has a very cool and chilled out vibe and its great that it is considered a place to go as well as a place to stay. I’ve been to a lot of hotels with my job and I’ve never enjoyed one as much as this. Our room was very clean and comfy and the bathroom was gorgeous, with a fabulous rain shower! The rooms have something cozy and romantic about the way they are decorated, also incorporating modern elements, fitting perfectly in London’s atmosphere.

I was impressed that there was a mini bottle of organic milk to go with the Clipper tea and an armchair to lounge in and enjoy it.  Loved the way the radio came on when we walked into the room. The fridge with free water and milk was a lovely touch as was the breakfast left on the door every morning- perfect to start the day. The bed and pillows were sensationally comfortable like sleeping in a big fluffy cloud – loved it. WiFi worked perfectly well, a big plus for me.

We felt completely spoiled at this hotel, everybody doing their best to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The restaurant has some delicious British recipes and warm atmosphere. Lobby always crowded with students and young people either working on MacBooks or just chill.

It was an amazing experience – we just loved the whole ambience of the hotel and will definitely return to The Hoxton.
