I haven’t been here since college but I made a visit recently and it was packed. The same guy was working there too. Best place to get yeasty doughnuts.

Lavender doughnuts caught my eye.

Blueberry doughnuts. The flavor is only injected into the frosting, not the actual doughnut. The only thing I wish this place would do is flavor the dough and not just the frosting. Still so amazing. These are the chewiest doughnuts around.

The packaging (much like the place) is extremely casual. Doughnuts are packed into flat white boxes and the label sticker is slapped on at the end with no predetermination.

Lavender doughnuts have specks of culinary lavender running through the frosting. The scent is pretty strong. These were my favorite.

Peanut butter and jelly doughnuts are filled with jam and frosted with crushed peanuts and peanut frosting.

I spent all day making dust bags among other things (muslins, more bags etc), and part of this dust bag step requires me to embroider the fabric through an automated process… Repeating this process over and over again was kind of hypnotizing… If you remember the dustbag from this post this video below was part of that construction.
LEAVE A COMMENT ( 29 )Took a pic of a bag on the machine the other day, more later…This is just textured leather with chains, kind of inspired by my other jacket

I’d been thinking about this ring since it first came out and after 5-6 months and I caved into getting one. I love these little silver balls trapped inside its own glass casing, it reminds me of little droplets that fall off when you solder jewelry or electric wires…

Inspired by several skins right now in varying textures. I came across a few stingray skins, they have this interesting pebbled texture and these two pieces I got had a natural white mark in the center. These would be perfect for a clutch since they are rather small.

A studded motorcycle jacket! Very standard but I wanted one for a while now. I got to use up a million leftover studs from my senior year at Parsons.

My favorite structure is anything gridded. Don’t really know why, My Favorite Fabric: Gridded Organza.

After some careful consideration I decided these boots will stay with me. I don’t have a problem with letting material possessions go, so I’m kind of perplexed by my inability to release these shoes.

Grid necklace.

Vionnet Grid dress. Photo from my MADELEINE VIONNET book.

From the same book… Okay not completely sure here but I *think* this dress was made out of one piece of fabric, its constructed by stitching vertical seams and horizontal pleats…insane.
