The Dutch, NYC

Today, I wore a suede shirt from Barney’s private label, my purse, and trousers from Zara. (Outfit photos by Sindy Varela)

Some grapefruit flavored cocktail called the dutch courage… my friend ordered this one.

Complimentary loaf of cornbread, barely sweet flavored with jalapeno. Came piping hot with whipped butter.

Fried oyster sliders, or this is what they like to call “little oyster sandwiches”…..Two was not enough, wanted to eat at least 4 more.

Fluke with spicy watermelon and lime. Red and yellow watermelons. Reminded me of Nobu.

Grilled quail, summer salsa, poblano, and cashew nut mole. Quail was cooked to perfection.

Seafood pot pie filled with plump pieces of fresh clam, lobster, and white fish, corn, baby onions, and potatoes.

Sherbet Sundae.

Love the casual food and the casual vibe of this restaurant. Food was down to earth, delicious, and the service was excellent. Don’t let the casual vibes fool you, not the kind of place you casually walk in at 8:30 with your friends to eat, you’ll have to wait at least 2 hours without a reservation. I guess that’s because the restaurant is relatively new and it’s been getting positive reviews.

amazing photos once again. thank you so much for these restaurant reviews! i’ve missed them.
omg god… my mouth LITERALLY watered…. and it’s not because i had too much alcohol. Beautiful pictures girl! and that purse is straight swag!
your style is crazy! so simple, so sophisticated, but always a massive effect! if you are saying to people: just wear a blouse and a black pair of pants! they would probably look very dull! but your look is so so pure and amazing! how do you do that! i have seen so many different burgers in nyc, like every restaurant has his signature hamburger! but that doesn’t mean that i don’t love them! i am never fooled by casual vibes! we had reservations at the minetta tavern and we still had to wait! anyway, love the name of the restaurant, so definitely have to check it out
Soooo goood and most def, fabulous.
This appeared in nyt or nymag… the review was not too bad, IMO.
great pictures btw.
sensational look, mouthwatering delicacies (and pictures)!
you are seriously gorgeous. may i ask what lipstick you are wearing?
looks so good; hope you had a reservation though
I didn’t get the casual feeling from the post, until I read your comment I was thinking this was not so casual… Funny.
Girl, you should be proud of your beauty! I think you’re gorgeous and you ought not to crop out your face in outfit shots.
