Summer Streets

This shoot was very casual, it was literally the three of us just roaming around downtown. Ms. Chesky with her camera, me with my clothes, and the model (Jefimija) who accidentally played stylist on this shoot. What more do you need besides summer + balmy night time in NYC? Slurpees! In fact I kept craving a huge slurpee during this shoot but was too afraid to speak up.
All photography by: Julia Chesky

I NEED that jumpsuit. So so chic!
I would have gotten you 3 slurpee’s after! So necessary on a summer night, esp after shooting.
GORGEOUS!!
the shots turned out great!

I meant to ask…is the jumpsuit going to be part of your regular stock (ie., will you be restocking the black….?)
Love that jumpsuit! And those shots with the sunlight coming up behind the scuba inspired (?) dress are absolutely gorgeous.
Your clothes look beautiful, as always, and your model looks perfect in them. She definitely has ‘the look’ but do you notice that she is making the same face in every shot except one?
this is like the perfect shoot! perfect model! perfect clothes! perfect styling! perfect setting. the effect of the setting sun is divine it gives everything an extra touch! so much in love with the dresses, they are like in-between, so fabulous with a little sporty touch!
Not to detract from the lovefest here, but Im surprised at the lack of originality here. The ‘cute girl on city streets’ photoshoot fails to showcase your usually interesting design sense. The photography you do for normal blog posts is far better than this.
Is that SoHo or the meatpacking district?
Looks so great! Love the quilted jacket. You are such an inspiration!
@myrcell,
You’re not detracting from any kind of love fest! No worries! Personally I disagree with you and I think the photographer did a great job xo
@Deborah, the item is still stocked in the shop!
@Michelle- between 28th and 23rd streets on 9-11 avenues.
I think everyone except the model did a great job. As a model you have to be able to offer variety. She has the same expression in every picture..
But I absolutely love all of your pieces!
Hi Luxirare….!
It says sizes 2,4,6 are out of stock in black…I won’t be able to order until I’m back in the US, so I’m just wondering if they’ll be a regular item on your site?
Sorry – I probably shouldn’t be asking these questions in the comments section…..!!!
Have a great day – !
Ahh, I see that it’s still possible to put one in a shopping cart…sorry to be such a pain!!
I vote Slurpees, Pinkberry, or a classic ice cream truck cone with sprinkles!

is there batting in the quilted parts of the leather jacket?
Your designs, flawless. That moto jacket is absolutely incredible!
Although I’m going to have to agree with Raggedy Ann here about the model, beautiful girl but….she has one facial expression. I don’t mean to nitpick, just offering my opinion, haha.
the model sucks here. her pose is so awkward she killed ur clothes and the styling failed tbh. It looks way too plain, kinda bores me.
love the cage bag and the black long dress….
man i love slurpees
I don’t really like the look of the model, she had the same facial expression in almost every picture..
I would die for the leather jacket though!
great quilted leather jacket
I think that the third photo down showcases your design the best. Your clothing is minimal and chic, and the minimalism of this setting combined with your gorgeous jumpsuit is spectacular. I mean, that jumpsuit is just beyond. I would like to see your clothing shot in more fitting locations. More concrete, stark white walls, white beaches, steel, and glass windows. Maybe even more black and white shots. Your usual photography makes more sense with the clothing. Although, this was just a casual shoot. Unlike many of the comments here I think the model worked okay, I usually find a similar expression in every shot looks “consistent” unless the shoot calls for something emotionally charged. It’s not about the model or the theme, it’s about the clothing (and in my opinion the photography). Once again, your creativity is inspiring and motivating.
Wow, super striking model – loving the styling of the fashion shoot also…
Come and check out my shoe design blogspot also? I recently put up a slideshow video of my images on youtube which i think you will like – take care x
