New Tricks
You know what they say…More things change the more they stay the same….
Me circa late eighties/early nineties…

Me now…
Lately I have been wearing this same formulaic uniform. Very cliched and typical of people who dress to look “different” but really its less about being “different” and more about differential uniforms. Never understood the natural desire to rebel against school enforced dress codes (I had one during highschool and hated it) when really people just dress in codes anyway…
So Yea basically I’ve been interchanging between these three shirts…

damn dude. you just made me a very jealous girl
trop cool. awesome!
photos are amazing, and those pants!!!!
i love the jeans.
one of my favorite things about your blog is that you don’t “pose” for the camera. i like seeing clothes in motion. and the best thing is that we never see your face, the focus is on your personal style.
i love this
i would never have imagined you in hot pink pants but here it is and it’s amazing
your shirts are pretty much the definition of perfect, especially that sheer awang(?) tank
Well, goes without saying that everything about this is amazing….
you are hardcore and badass. really; all i can say
that jacket….duuuuude….
i second jayne. and i wish i had the luscious hair too. totally makes any outfit.
ps: thanks for the blog lovin! it totally made my day that you checked it out
oh mannnnnnnnnnn. are your sandals chanel? ugh. total crush. i had to settle for the cheap knockoff nine westers. but, of course the original is wayyyyy better. =)
I’m gonna need that jacket right quick, it better be waiting for me when I return back to NY :*
p.s. you in hot pink pants = perfection, ditch the black ones!
I love these outfits! The studding on your jacket is so cool. Love the mask pics.
that jacket is a treasure. Biggest studs I’ve ever seen…
My eyes are watering I’m so jealous. Everything is just amazing. The pants are perfect pink, like two fluro pink highlighters.
You are a vision of stylish sexiness.
This looks like it could be a spread in Nylon or Muse.
I want to be cool, too.
I LOVE YOUR STUDDED JACKET!

I absolutely hate hot pink, but I love it on you.
those pants are unreal. seeing this outfit is just so strange. i swear if you change the hair and factor in my lack of chanel
this could be me haha x
This makes me want to DIY….. that jacket is perfection. And so are you!!!!
Maaaagnificent.
I particularly like the sheer dotted top combo. The silver plating on the wedges, HOT
Do you have a studio setting in your flat for all your shoots + the cooking ones?
(You were a cute kid!)
the hot pink blows me away.
where you got that KILLER jacket from, dear? xo
that jacket is by tripp!? did you add extra studs? i’ve seen tricked out tripp jackets before, but not like this! it’s fantasic.
btw. the last outfit is unreal.
Your style completely blows me away. I love the pic of you as a kid, too! It puts everything into context.
That jacket and I need to hang out one night. Have a look at my latest post and let me know what you think…it involves something you purchased.
That’s a good pink. And those boot’s you had as a kid, pretty cool.
you have officially became my favourite blog!
Bravo, geniale, j’adoreeeeeeeeeee
Bonne nuit
la chauve-souris
my eyes got two things here, your pink jeans and your chanel bag, I love the bag, I have one, but I want more, have a black one, but now want a white one, and a black jumbo one. aaaa i love it, the bags .. not sound like a crazy person .. but sorry I am not, just obsession with the bags
fucking sweeet shoes man.
Wow! Three great outfits. You’ve inspired me to pull my hot pink jeans out of the cupboard!
What size are those pyramid studs? I have been searching for ones that are bigger than 1/2.
i didn’t know pink pants could look this cool.
Beatriz – 3/4 by 3/4 inch. They aren’t actually pyramid studs, the pointy top is chopped up to look flat.
I ordered them from a wholesaler in the garment district..
Chloe, yea I love chanel bags. I have an obsession.
Fuxsake- Trippnyc
Joshua-
Naw, I take these shots elsewhere. My place is too small.
Sharon-
Very good guesS! Yes the sheer top is by A wang back when he wasn’t such a big deal
Manfox-
ahahha yea I mean we’ve already established that we’ve got scarily similar tastes.
Farren-
Yes they’re chanel..I feel a little embarrased they are from a long time ago. Who cares though right I always wear stuff out of season.
Ladivavosa–
Hhahahah whyyy do you hate pink..anyways thanks man.
Fabulous!
GREAT photos as usual!
Wow. Just wow. Killer outfit. Speechless.

rarely do i love everything about a look…but this one is literally fab from head to toe. hot shit!
Awesome work on the jacket (I assume the sleeve detailing was a DIY)! Gotta love Tripp, they give me hope that one day we’ll be seeing Kate Lanphear Carine Roitfeld etc. going around in Lip Service or better yet, Morbid Threads…
Atually I LIED. I just found some sick hot pink silk shantung fabric in my stash…oh.shit.
Chanel bags are my obsession too, I only got a 2.55 right now…that will change eventually.
Fawn lust-
Yes I studded the jacket myself but for some reason I refuse to use the word DIY on my blog. I went to school for fashion and somehow the word DIY just puts me off.
Ladivavosa
Oh yea, silk shantung = my favorite fabric EVER!
Gosh I would actually die for those shoes!
SPEECHLESS & I THINK WANT TO PEE MY PANTS? I AM IN AWE. LOVE THE MASK BTW.
Kimberley–
No need to die- They are nice shoes but not the sickest ones I own. The best shoes I own are the super ugly Demonia platform boots I’ve had for years…
Poision–
Thanks Lucreciaa
Now, time for some alky.
gosh you are so chic its driving me insannnne.
omg i lovvee that shredded cramps tee!
this is epic, that jacket!
did you shred the cramps shirt yourself?? dude that looks so gnarley. and your pants are soooo awesome. where can i get some tripp?
Anon-
Yea, its really easy just time consuming. You can get their jeans online (google tripp nyc) or you can
go to Trash and Vaudeville on ST MARKS street they have a bunch there.
man your hair! death!
Yeah pretty much everything you own fucking amazes me.
-Ana
so killer! for a second i thought your pants were the crazy $$$ metallic leather ones from Les Chiffoniers. Tripp jeans are a staple in my closet!
just rediscovered your blog today! needless to say, im in love all over again.
as i'm super petite and know that none of those newer items would ever fit me, i'm actually a lot more interested in what you were wearing as a child! happen to remember any of the brands you used to wear/where you shopped to find clothes for your obviously more mature taste?! thanks in advance.
What was your technique for shredding your t-shirt? I keep experimenting but can’t get it right!!
I know that this post is really old, but I’m having a slight dilemma with purchasing studs for myself.
I want to stud my jacket, but I’m new to ordering the studs, obviously. Lol. I’ve notivced that you’ve studded your jacket, but I just wanted to ask you, what’s the standard size for studs? I’ve seen so much sizes that it’s making my head spin. I’m buying from this website : http://studsandspikes.com/buy/studs_discount-bulk-studs_stud.html
I don’t want anything too, too tiny, but something medium-sized, maybe a little smaller than the conical studs you have pictured, would be nice.
Thank you so much!
oh wow, you DO look so Nineties!!! Love the poses. Where do you shoot your stuff??
