Rocky was recently inspired by the military spreads in vogue….She insisted on getting herself on my blog.
She insisted on the large so that the cargo jacket would have a looser fit…
Rocky got sexed up at night…took her clothes off and put her mask on.

aww, look at him. I think it is amazing when dogs let you dress them up. Otherwise it is just torturous to them.

Awww, so cute! I don’t think he likes the mask though. One of my toy poodles loves to have clothes on, the other one hates them.

What a good sport! I dress my dogs up sometimes for photo ops and my own amusement. They don’t particularly enjoy it, but can be bribed with treats. They’re big dogs, so it’s extra funny. And I paint my Doberman’s nails sometimes too, if she falls asleep next to me while I’m doing my own. They have good lives, so they can indulge me now and again!

The entire outfit is perfect. The mask is soo Luxirare. Love it. My poodle actually loves wearing clothes. He goes crazy when I grab his jacket!

Yikes, your dog looks rather anxious and uncomfortable to me, honestly.
My apologies, because I adore your blog and think that most of what you post and create is rather genius, but beyond protecting your dog from severe weather elements, clothing them is pretty gratuitous. Particularly in an “oversized” jacket – not only does it prevent dogs from sharing essential social cues with each other, but if her jacket is ill-fitting, it increases the opportunity for pain or injury.
I’m all for adorning the human body in new and creative fashions and experimenting with fit and scale. But dogs? Why can’t we just let them be dogs…?
Keep up the amazing work you do in every other regard, though.

meh, from my experience if a dog does not like clothing, it will simply not wear it. (pulling on booties with teeth, rolling a lot to try to scrape off a jacket, etc). with small dogs especially it makes sense to put something on them in the winter time, they are not breed for new york winters. the above poster has a point about fit, and i probably would not take rocky to a dog park and let her run around with other dogs while dressed… but if the dog is not fighting with you about putting on the clothing then you are not bothering her with it.

Jessica: I have small dogs too, but they won’t go outside without their coats! It’s way too cold without them and they’re so small, so I don’t think coats are gratuitous for my dogs.
Luxirare: How do you keep Rocky’s eyes so stain free? SHe is so cute with her mask on!
