Overload
Pre-Mugler

Excellent styling.

Found this on Strange Eyes’ tumblr but I’m 99% sure its originally from the book “Native Funk and Flash”

The neck braids are great, I’m wondering how it would look as an embellishment on blazers/jackets, basted onto some transparent type fabric.

This image and styling reminds me of my thesis teacher, Pascale Gatzen, who is another amazing designer.

Another image from the same tumblr, but again, I’m 99% sure its from “Native funk and flash”. I urge any of you interested in DIY fashion in northern san francisco in the 60’s/70’s to get the book, its incredible.

Wonderful outfit consolidation. Pants onto some ruffled maxi skirt…

I love transparency, layers of it interacting together…especially if it involves no compensation of a nude lining.

Doing something you shouldn’t do in public.. haha.

This is actually from Another Magazine editorial lying around my room somewhere, always meant to scan this vintage Mugler dress.

Super cool pictures! Those neck braids are indeed stellar. Just a question of interest, is there any reason you always post such enormous pictures?

Yes, there actually is! I prefer looking at huge images, preferably hi-res ones.

stunning. the pierced nude dress reminds of your nude moto jacket. I love the angie and bowie shot, i think its from a vogue shoot like 4-5 yrs ago. They also had great layouts of models posing as marilyn manson, the beatles, pdiddy, janis, jim morrison, etccc

You are killing me! I found Native Funk and Flash on my mother’s bookshelf (she was a designer in the early 80’s) and I literally could not contain my excitement. I can’t believe you know those images as well as i do. I also found these amazing embroidered scraps of denim that she’s done as a teenager in Israel (hippie-central) in the ’70s. that depict sunshine and rainbows and gardens all done in lockstitch. Let’s bring it back.
