Lox on Crepes

Just another simple brunch idea. Enjoy!
Crepe mix + a little bit of grated nutmeg. Nutmeg grater available HERE.

Use a savory batter for this.

This presentation is good for sharing.

Onions, capers, tomatoes, creme fraiche, and chives. I added wasabi flavored caviar to the mix as well.

Wrap it like a taco and eat.

Here is another way to present this dish, with the same ingredients. This is for an individual portion.

Layer and stack.

Lift the mold. It’s good to use the mold because you can push the ingredients all the way to the edges.

Faje yogurt with honey, tomato, and chopped basil.

More soon.

this looks incredible. always love your presentation, esp the one for sharing.
you can serve them as amuses! never actually thought about a pancake in such a small proportion! I bake huge cakes and they don’t look that perfect. never ever seen neon caviar before ( i am definitely a food barbarian). okay so i am not going to step out of my comfort zone and my favorite would be the creme fraiche (pancakes and sweet always works for me)
FEED ME!! I seriously need to wife you up. haha.
I wonder…. do you eat delicious stuff like this every day?
I dont know if you havea a husband or boyfriend, but if so – he is a one lucky man!
No, but seriously, this looks amazing, and I bet it taste the same
haha ‘wife you up’
I’ve made something similar but in a pinwheel form where I made regular sized crepes, spread the lox, creme fraiche and herbs etc, rolled it up and cut it like sushi – makes great canapes!
yours looks spectacular though! it’s almost 2am here and I’m considering gathering the ingredients now and making this!
Wow, this looks EXQUISITE!!! Love every single ingredient you’ve used in this dish…the wasabi eggs are my fave! Really puts my cereal in a plastic bowl to shame (^_−)−☆ Gorgeous presentation!

so…..ever think about opening a restaurant? =D
obsessed. simply obsessed.
This is a longshot but is there any way to read all of your blog entries, past pg 29?
I’m under the impression there are even earlier posts…
It would be cool to see the growth & development in your creative process and product
This looks unbelievable. I love looking at your pictures more than any other food blog out there. You’re the Nathan Myhrvold of the blogging world food-wise
Your last presentation is gorgeous! Looks restaurant worthy, but you’ve shown how doable it is for the average person. So great!
i love your presentation food skills

WOW. just wow.
I totally read the title of this post as “lox on creepers”.
Now i have visions of shoe-shaped stacked crepes layered with all that delicious stuff.
Mmmm. Creeper crepes. With neon-green wasabi caviar accents.

Beautiful, simply beautiful.
Amazeballs. Making this soon
Hate to repeat everybody by saying the word “genious”, but honey, YOU ARE ABOVE AND BEYOND TALLENTED. I don’t think those Michelin Star restaurant chefs’ imagination can come remotely close to your’s. And this is not a compliment, this is just a FACT. Don’t you EVER get tired of what you are doing!!! Please! You are a huge inspiration for me.
P.S. If you ever come to Montreal QC, try the restaurant Au Pied Du Cochon.
Love the condiment box!
This is insanity! lovin` it
I am so hungry now..
It looks too good to eat!!
