Lox on bagels
Priorities and rituals, not much in between going on in life. We’ve already discussed priorities, so now I’m taking the ritual chase. Sunday morning, lox on bagels, some friends and coffee. Gloves off.

Need to write thank you note to Adele? Her jam made my sunday morning shoot very chill.

Sambuca, anyone?

Grinding some fresh beans.

Was on the move for Lettuce and Tomatoes this morning, wore my wallet necklace with the chain detached.

Onions, tomatoes, capers, cream cheese, lettuce, everything bagels. Got to the bagel shop too early, tons of steam as they threw fresh bagels into bins. Lox on bagels can be updated, but I already did a modern take on a classic dish. This meal is already perfect as it is, like an oxford shirt. An update on this would be contrived. Probably my last breakfast shoot, gotta get on the fashion hustle soon. Leather jackets await me at the studio. Cutting food will soon be replaced with cutting fabric.

Pressing lots of capers down so they can’t escape.

Rules, no toasting ’round here.

Perfection perfection perfection.

Now I shut my music off, and wait for my buddies.

Thanks for reading, wish you guys could come have bagels with me too, wanna meet all of my readers and know about them. Maybe this will be possible one day?

I can’t wait to actually meet you one day!! I love all of your posts be it food or fashion, you’re absolutely amazing!!
Your table setups always blow my mind. Nice article!
I would love to sit silently in the corner of the room, watching you arrange everything
once again you make something simple looks complicated LOL
I think she makes something very complicated look simple!!
Goodness it would be such a dream to meet you!
awesome totally hungry!
Really enjoying the breakfast series this week. Today I’m going to heat up a frozen pizza for breakfast while fantasizing about this bagel. A girl can dream.
You should have a gallery show! All your readers would totally show up, truffle and caviar gifts for you in hand
Very classy move keeping this dish classic! Happy Sunday breakfasting.
Loved your breakfast posts. I’ll miss them.
yummi!!

What a wonderful surprise! I’m so glad you’re letting us know a bit more about you.
The Lox Redux Blog Meet … I’ll be there!
Sambuca *sigh … a guy I worked with many many moons ago used to call that The Secretary’s leg-opener … LOL!
Those bagels look really good. Which bagel place do you go to in the city? I can’t seem to find a good bagel place in my ‘hood (east 50′s).
I kind of want your kitchen and all its cool Bunsen burner appliances. And I need to buy one of your Luxirare wallet necklaces one of these days.
Yes! Untoasted bagels, as Nature intended.
And is that a stack of Luxirare paper cups I spy? <3
Your posture in that first photo reminds me of that iconic Maxell ad with the guy in the chair, blown away by the music! Very cool
I am a fan of neither Adele (sacrilege!) nor tomatoes, but I love the photography in this post. I hope your breakfast with friends was excellent.
This looks amazing! Nice photography!

You should have a meetup for your readers! I would make the ten hour trek into NY for it.
Yes. A lovely meet and greet brunch with your readers would be lovely. I’d hop the train from CT for this any old time.
I actually wondered how it would be to meet some people I have exchange with through my blog or others blogs… Probably a bit awkward at first at least…
Lovely post about a classic!
i want to meet you!!!
I would love to meet you…I would love to observe you while you work. I’m always blown away by the work you do. Very inspiring.
fresh bagels. i die.
I have learned the hard way that I get along the least with designers who are most similar to myself. However simply having common tastes in fashion+functionality does not necessarily determine personality.
Separate question: how many new designs will you be releasing (for sale) in the coming months? Appologies for my impatience!
No longer breakfast time, but my mouth is drooling. Capers? The magic ingredient to the perfect bagels and lox? Awesome!!!!
if you ever come to Paris i’ll totally share the most amazing falafel with you; if you’re in Montreal anytime soon i would be glad to meet you too. by the way i bought a wallet as a gift for my mom and she received it yesterday, she was amazed by the packaging and of course by the wallet itself! Thanks.
Amazing, where did you get your coffee mechanism?!
amazing, where did you get your coffee mechanism?
Hopefully i’ll meet you someday!
i read your blog since 2009 (before you deleted the old archives), and never stopped reading, and i love specially your food posts. all of them.
i remember you were kind of cold, the way you did your stuff, a little bit steril, and it was kind of like your registered mark (i liked that too), but i feel you’ve become so much more close to your readers, the way you write and all the comfy food now, and exposing yourself more. i really like that.
thank you, thats all!
I would love to meet you, partly because I’m so curious about if the rest of your house/studio is as clean/organised as what we see in your blog. Love you blog.
What is the yellow thing behind the capers?
AHH! I would legit loooove to meet slash dine with you!!
If ever you’re in Paris…!
Wonderful post and one of my favourite things to have for breakfast
Have an amazing week.
I want to have bagels with you!!!
Ah, lox! Can’t have enough of it! Last week I made pound of lox out of fresh salmon, and made lox Benedict (my take on classic dish) this Sunday for my family. Yammmmy!
That looks amazing! What type of cream cheese do you use?
if i end up moving to manhattan this year, i think it will be one of my goals to meet you!
I would FLY all the way just to meet you. You’re such an inspiration! I think it would be money well worth spent.
This would be truly amazing! You are such an inspiration to me!
i’ve been reading your blog for like forever! this may seem like the most irrelevant question, but may i know the model of your nike shoes?
bagels and lox never looked so good. as always i really love your photos!
looks soooo good
You really raise the bar for standard of living! But in a good way, since I’m inspired.
If you’re near Brooklyn, it’s yummy food time!
