Hot Chili on a stick
I saw these cute packages of Hot chocolate over at Selfridges in London and even though this seems to be a very easy d-i-y I thought the concept was clever. There is another brand that sells it here but I thought the one I had was better in terms of packaging. You notice the title also says “Hot Chili”, which made this hot chocolate spicy!

I also got these persian nougats by Pariya, the jar is almost empty because I’ve already eaten more than half of it. These are flavored with saffron and pistachios…

The cup is from Bodum.

Haha. Love how messy it is. These photos are stunning… and it all looks delicious. Seriously addicted to your blog! xx
But wait…what is that skull thing?? And how can I own it???
you have to stop doing this! you are bedazzling me every time again and again and again! how do you do it! do you have a special gift??? this is not you average hot chocolate! please tell me you have a michelin star restaurant somewhere in this world! i will take a plane immediately to come over
Love your kitchenware and such. So unique!

even the milk splatter looks artsy with you <3
I love these hot chocolate sticks, you can get them in quite a few places in the UK now… like, boutique gift shop type places and high-end food markets. They’re fun!
Got exactly the same bodum glasses, love it!
Looks delicious, as usual.
It’s really fun seeing Danish staples like Georg Jensen and Bodum in your posts – I’m Danish, and to me they just scream suburbia, boredom, grey wall-to-wall carpeting – all that is small and trite in Denmark. Just, condensed Danish bad taste. You make it seem tasteful, actually deserving of notice. Very novel!
amazing, as usual!
@Moller
Don’t own anything by Georg Jensen.
The “persian nougat” is called “gaz” in farsi. It’s condensed sugar and milk, and usually doesnt have saffron. Really good tho
amazing! that looks so good!!!

Ooh they carry that brand of nougat in Melbourne too.
Hey Ji, more often than not I’m browsing your site from mobile more than desktop and I’m sure it’s the same for some of your readers, would you consider a mobile version?
Love your recent posts!!! The regularity as well as the content.
I’d love to see your take on a nougat recipe – haven’t had it since my kid days in Romania, white nougat with nuts, between 2 thin sheets of wafers and wrapped in cellophane. Seems like everything back in communist days tasted better haha!

Yes, please tell us about the skull candles!
Ooh, I’m intrigued by this now! Half of me wants to try hot chili chocolate but the other half probably can’t stomach the hotness -__-
Nice ‘crystal clear’
photos!
I always enjoy your unique items that you use, not the usual kitchen staff we all see in most blogs.
Everything stylish! No wonder you are so creative with your clothing.
PS I’d love to taste it!!!!!!
xoxoxo
i think that crystal skull is the crystal head vodka bottle (made by dan akroyd haha) – but not sure how it got on a stand it looks like? you could make a similar candle out of any bottle i think?
@tj no actually this skull has nothing to do with the crystal head vodka, they are separate pieces.
Love this. I am a fan of the pistachio nougat (never had it with saffron! Interesting.) …however, I find that there is always too many pistachios in it for me to really enjoy. I feel that I might as well eat a handful of pistachios… I’d like a lesser pistachio-to-nougat-ratio, you know what I mean?
Brilliant post, as always. Love the hot chocolate!
I MUST have one of those skull-candle(?) things. Where can i get one?
WHAT a photoshoot, stileben yes PERFECT!
Fantastic photographs and that persian nougat looks yummy. Shame I can’t get hold of any

Wooo this seems so cool.
Inspirational.
Ok so the mug is from Bodum and the skull candlelight is from?
Alway enjoy reading your blog. Gets me excited about photographing my food.
I’m also curious where the skull candlelight is from.
Stunning presentation! I love how A splash of milk on the table can take a plain scene to a whole new eye-catching level.
