Why does this helmut lang collection look so futuristic, even now, in 2011, when it was made in the 80′s??? It’s so brilliant, all of it, and I’ve never really seen any of these images dispursed online…where did you find them?
To echo the comment above, celine fall 2011 is a little too close to the original lang designs.

Helmut Lang(/Melanie Ward) is my all-time favorite designer, it pains me to see the junk being made nowadays under his name, I wish he hadn’t licensed the name out, though perhaps he didn’t have much of a choice.
Whenever I see something on the runway now, especially minimalist/modernist designers, I often get a “deja vu” type thing, and then I realize Helmut Lang had done it before already.
I don’t follow him as a fine artist, though I am curious. It’s getting harder and harder to find his original clothing designs, but at least those are more attainable than fine art pieces!
