Girlscout Cookies
I’ve had my fair share of designer/artisanal cookies (laduree, tates, etc) but nothing gets me more excited than Girlscout’s cookies. They’ve been a favorite of mine ever since I was a girl scout. Except I wasn’t really all that interested in selling them, just eating them..
I have many boxes of Samoa’s, but too embarrassed to show them all.. The berry cookies are really amazing, having tried the Dulce de leche yet. The packaging is wacky as all hell…but its the best part!
Toasty bits of coconut sit on top of caramel, with chocolate drizzled on top.
Why not make a donut flavored Samoa?????
Thin mints are amazing too..the only thing I wish is that they are a little more minty..

But my favorite variety used to be the Juliettes – did you ever try those when they were still around?

Have you tried Dreyer’s Samoa ice cream? That sandwiched between two Samoa cookies = delicious overdose?
Oh my god those Samoa cookies look INCREDIBLE. I don’t think I have ever really tried Girl Scout cookies besides the thin mints, how is this missing from my life!?
The thin mints are insanely good but SAMOA’s are…just…amazing..incredible…SO cloying sweet and delicious..

Oh my gawd. I love thin mints. I’m pretty sure I gained ten pounds on thin mints alone every time the girlscouts came around selling.
I have to find me some thin mints now.
I used to be a Girl Scout too, although I only lasted 2 years… and I was a HORRIBLE little scout.
BTW.. you know what’s amazing?? Samoa milkshakes. Toss some the cookies in with some vanilla bean ice cream, milk and some malt. I’d love to see a Luxirare interpretation of this!
Is the Berry Munch a new cookie? It doesn’t look familiar.
Girl Guide cookies in Australia taste like sweetened cardboard, and look about that exciting too. Those look incredible.

The Samoa cookies look amazing good, but you’re going to love dulce de leche. Trust me, I grew up on that back home!

When I was a girl scout, my mother was “cookie mom” for several years. We spent several months with our dining room FILLED with cookies…most of which were (obviously) not for us to eat! If it weren’t for the fact that my mother always purchases an massive quantity of cookies, it would have been torture to live in a house full of girl scout cookies that weren’t ours.
mmm samoas. i didn’t like those when i was younger but they’re my favorites now.
i also loved trefoils straight from the freezer. <3 frozen shortbread. they still sell those, right?
Recently the samoas have been changed to Caramel deLites. They aren’t as good as samoas in my opinion and the ingredients are different. They have more caramel in them too which I do love but I prefer the samoas. It upset me.
melissa: there are two different manufacturers of girl scout cookies…i think that the “other” one makes caramel delites instead of samoas, peanut butter patties instead of tagalongs and i don’t know what else. i agree that the samoas are *way* better

Mmm… yep, the Samoas are my favorite. Here in Texas, they’re called Caramel Delights. I also made one too many purchases on those cookies. Thankfully, they are perfect for sharing!
