Fall Styling Notes

I don’t know about you but I’m very excited for fall. But knowing our current erratic weather, I feel like we might not even have a fall, we’ll just cut straight to winter. Anyway, this time around I made a few changes to a classic fall uniform that I can’t wait to do everyday. The key here is to either delete from, or maximize a classic.

Just boiling it down to a few key pieces for a very minimized wardrobe. That perfectly braided men’s belt, the worn in black but almost grey acne jeans…the cashmere sweater you want to wear everyday even though you have like, 20 different ones. I’ve been wearing this grey sweater so many times that there are now holes around the armpits. Serendipitous I suppose.

The sneakers pictured are Adidas Roundhouse. A quick link to the jungle.…. But these are not women’s sneakers, I got the size 5 for boys. Normally I am a size 6, 6.5 so just go a size down or two.

Accessories, not deleted from the wardrobe but maximized. Tom Binns safety pin earrings and large hoop earrings.

You see I don’t really see the point of wearing hoop earrings unless they are at least 4 inches in diameter.

Now onto the one jacket I plan to wear everyday, or rather, a classic car coat. Mine’s from Joseph and I got this a while ago, and it was fleshed with your average long sleeve. But it’s time to let scissors meet the elbow. Because right now I just feel like wearing a long sleeve coat is almost like wearing a straight jacket. Can’t deal.

And lastly, I also crave the look of thick socks or leg warmers pulled up high with jeans tucked in. Yes it’s cankle city central and it’s all good.
