Face Mask
Image scanned from Isabel Toledo: Fashion from the Inside Out, can’t stress enough how great this book is, and that she is literally the modern day Vionnet. Though she’s completely out-shined by the male designer pack, after she dies (not for a long long time though) she’ll be a legend.
It seems that almost anyone becomes (somewhat of) a legend once they’re dead, it always makes me sad how some people aren’t appreciated enough when they’re still alive …
I don’t think thats true necessarily, there are a lot of designers who pass and don’t become Chanel or Vionnet..I think its true for people who are truly visionary.

I generally LOVE the stuff you post, but… am i the only one who thinks this looks a bit like a jockstrap for the head?
