Champagne Afternoon Tea, Dorchester Hotel

Some savory small dishes, before pastries..

A chicken salad-esque mixture warmed up inside lightly toasted puff pastry shell.

Salmon pasta shell roll, served with toast, lox and caviar.

Delicate assortment of pastries.

Everything about afternoon tea here is great, the old-fashioned ambiance, the cheesy piano playing, and the food. But really I would just like to order a dozen of their scones (have not had a scone this good in the states, ever) and a whole jar of their clotted cream (even their cream is strangely different from the kind I’m used to).

Merry XMAS!

the salmon pasta shell roll looks especially delicious.
All those pastries look amazing!
This is spectacular.

Wow. This looks quite good.
If you have the chance to come down to KL, do have afternoon tea in ritz carlton.
Mmm… everything looks good. The clotted cream looked creamier than usual and very thick compared to what I’ve seen and tasted. Merry Christmas!
Oh, that cream looks FABULOUS! Merry Christmas
i love afternoon teas! they are just about my favourite meals of the day:) would so love to go to this afternoon tea!!!
I looove clotted cream – I won’t bother with scones unless I know there’s clotted cream and good jam!
The savouries at the start do look interesting!

For someone who is about to go to church and have graham crackers with 5 year olds, this is a gorgeous fantasy. Thanks!
Looks amazing, but how the hell do you afford all this? Venice is the most expensive holiday spot in Italy and the Dorchester is the most expensive afternoon tea place in London. For rich tourists only.
Now I know what you mean by Dorchester afternoon tea. Yes, I find it really hard to be beaten by an other place. Xmas days and we all are full of food but you took us to a trip to the tea wonderland. So great!
You are always inspiring!
Look at all the yummy food
Love your photography as always
that chicken salad-esque mixture in puff pastry looks like chicken a la king! delicious.
Those scones… mm mm.
So lovely.x
Divine!
Clotted cream (with the crust on top) is traditional for our ‘Cream Tea’ (also with homemade strawberry jam), which is a must have when you go to the seaside, or to a cute village in the summer. Cream and jam must be weighted heavily on the scone.
Wonderful pictures, everythings looks sooo delicious!

Everything looks fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences
I’ve been lagging in my application to study abroad this coming summer and after going onto all these blogs about Europe, especially London I swiftly finished everything and turned in what I could for now. Ahh I love inspiration!
wow those scones look way different than any scone i’ve ever seen. less dry, a little chewier?
I had the same question as Katie. How can you afford this lavish and wonderful lifestyle?

How delicious. That and Claridge’s are my favourite afternoon tea haunts
Craving those scones so much right now, with a HUGE dollop of clotted cream. Have you heard about the new Moroccan afternoon tea that Momo is doing? It’s my next stop on the afternoon tea circuit!
Everything looks so delicious ! So refined..
This is beautiful. I have never eaten clotted cream. My sweetie LOVES scones. I’d love to take him here.
Question: What is the silvery stuff coming out of the white pastry? Thank you!
Those pics of the clotted cream are orgasmic!!!
Do you ever feel a bit weird or awkward lol.. going into a nice restaurant and taking up close pictures of the food??
Surely this is what they serve in heaven?
46,50 per person………and a lot of people without eating tonight……lovely but too much
this looks so lovely, probably beyond my wildest imagination to go to a place like that, but nevertheless, one can dream.
Gorgeous!
