Adidas & little Nike
I don’t know what it is about Adidas but lately I think I’ll find just about any excuse to include a piece of triple stripe into my daily wardrobe. I like Nike as well but there is something about these triple white stripes, they’re instantly recognizable. This past year I’ve completely cleaned out my wardrobe, and needed some basic jackets and long sleeve shirts to flesh out my closet, something a little sportier but still put together. Some of these adidas pieces are items I’ve had for years (like track pants and shorts), and recently I added some tops. I don’t know what is happening with Adidas + their design team nowadays but their new items are fantastic, just concise, modern updates on their classic pieces.

I have 5 of the same shirts in two different styles, just want more of the same thing when I like it.

Luxirare Hoodies. Couldn’t help but include these, they’re sporty too I guess.

My favorite way to wear this nylon jacket is with a very basic accordion pleated skirt cut at the knee.

Not such a loyal customer, as evidenced below. But still partial to Adidas…

Nike is another favorite, but this curvy check mark logo tends to be a little weaker, right? Wore this shirt on the blog many times.

Nylon adidas jacket, with adidas track pants. Leather sleeved men’s car coat from Joseph.

Nike shirt, accordion pleated skirt, and a Luxirare leather jacket.

Shoes are by Celine.

My absolute favorite piece are these adidas track pants. I like how there’s a top stitch running down the center that kind of looks like a fake pleat, very flattering.

Nothing more comfortable than this super loose Celine blouse and baggy adidas track pants. Thanks for reading, more soon.

Love all of these, but how you’ve styled the skirt with everything is brilliant. I so need to track down pleated skirts for spring/year-round.
I like them too. Do you know how much are them?
For some reason I totally get what you mean about the triple white stripes and I can’t explain how much I love your last picture. I don’t think I have seen a picture of you so “chill”
always looking forward to your posts
I can’t even believe how GENIUS and amazing it is that you paired the Celine shirt with track pants. Just super gorgeous.
The pleated skirt and Adidas jacket combination reminds me of students that wear a combination of their physical education and regular uniforms.
You look beautiful.

Lovely
Not digging the look. Don’t see how track pants can ever be attractive!
Haha when I was younger I had pants like those with the front pleat line, and I hated it so much I think I tried to cut it off. It looks good on you, though, I’m really interested in the way you’re mixing high fashion and athletic wear, for lack of a better term. Very cool, as always.
Do you know Kanye West has that same Celine shirt, by the way? I saw a picture of him wearing it, maybe at Coachella or something.
damn i was never into sportswears or gym clothes to wear other than to the gym but you look soo good.
I’ve been into adidas track pants since I was a teen.. I thought it was the coolest piece of clothing ever. Sometimes I can’t help but wonder if the sporty silhouette of Céline & Alexander Wang are influenced by the classic sportswear from adidas.
celine and adidas – what a tres genial combination!
Just like it your idea, but I only wear pant when I go to the gym, but seems like very comfy, I need to try it, and I me happens the same as you, when I like something, a shirt or jeans I bought the same clothes in different colors, I don’t like do it, but I do, and of couse, in black, my favourite color.
Nice brows you have.
Awesome style! I love sophisticated, sport-inspired looks. I couldn’t really replicate that in London as there are different ideas about people that wear Adidas outside of the gym – BUT – you *rock* this look.
love the fact that you are showing some face FINALLY :p
You pull off sportswear better than anyone I know.

that celine blouse is amazing. and who would have thought it would go so well with adidas track pants other than you.

Love the look, I just hate how polyester feels against my skin. It’s impossible to find workout gear that doesn’t have polyester though so I’m often stuck with shapeless cotton things.
love the black suede shoes! it actually looks quite cool paired together

Ooh I’m an Adidas fan, too, in all the brand’s incarnations. Love Stella McCartney’s collaboration, and Y-3. I have this amazing knee-length black Y-3 knit skirt with layers and an uneven hem (and the iconic strips) that looks almost like I’m wearing a jacket tied around my waist. I’m not big on skirts so the casual, sporty quirk of it makes it wearable for me. Love wearing close-fitting running tops with the thumb holes when I go dancing; the wicking material ensures I never get too sweaty! One of my favorite outfits is a sleek black or blue running top with black cargo pants (fitted at hip and thigh, straight leg) that kind of blouse over the top of military jump boots.
Usually a huge fan of your ability to combine luxury and comfort pieces, not so much this time… The Celine shirt/Adidas track pants are both so shapeless that they don’t complement each other in any way, nor do they flatter any part of you… I might be able to stomach the Celine shirt with a slim-fit Adidas pant or legging, but the most forgiving piece is this series is the Nike shirt…such a simple top with an iconic little checkmark, paired with the accordion skirt… so great, and modern-classic-looking.
I was skeptical when reading about your desire to incorporate activewear into your daily wardrobe, but the nike/accordion look made me a believer. But… please don’t wear the Celine shirt with the Adidas track pants – someone had mentioned seeing Kanye in the shirt, you are not a rapper/hiphop artist, please don’t emulate one.
I agree with you, Nire. I’m not digging the baggy track pants with the big loose Celine shirt. I don’t even really like the Celine shirt on it’s own because, like you said, it’s unflattering. It looks like Luxirare is swimming in those clothes. I totally get wearing that stuff to be comfortable, but to wear it out, I’d probably dress it up a little bit more, even if it just meant switching to skinny jeans or something.
I totally agree. Even though I’m usually a fan, these outfits just don’t work for me. Not only are the baggy on baggy sillhouettes unflattering, but there is something so iconically athletic about Adidas that no matter how you pair it, even with an amazing Celine blouse, it’s still going to look so odd. I find that there’s even a sloppiness/laziness connotation that comes with wearing athletic wear outside of an athletic setting. Kind of like wearing sweatpants out of the house, it just looks sloppy.
I’ve been wanting an Adidas track suit for a long time. I remember to used to be very popular in the 90s. Have to say, not digging the Celine shirt and track pants combination. Not cute, but love everything else.
I agree that the celine shirt and track pants just dont work. Im not sure what it is that your going for but its just not happening. Looks sloppy.
Am crushing hard on your eyebrows. Please include some sort of post on your beauty regime, you look amazing!
so im of the opinion that the celine shirt and track pants look amazing together.. best out of all looks, followed by the pleated skirt and track jacket.. either way, im amazed by your sense of fashion and understanding of it. it goes a lot deeper than most and really surpasses most conventional boundaries, including ones of, me thinks anyway, cliche gender lines and silhouettes. it’s like it’s own thing entirely.
Love your leather jacket very much!!!
I know what you mean. The only kind of sportswear I ever wear outside, well- sports, is the classic black track pants with white stripes and Adidas Originals black zip-up top with golden stripes. I wear the track suit with fitted leather jacket, and the jacket with- absolutely everything, but most of all with dresses. There is absolutely something about those stripes and that retro-look.
I love the pieces designed by you, but I gotta say, I really despise corporations like Nike because of their willingness to skirt labour laws. I work in the textile industry, and even if companies say they comply with whichever country’s labour laws, it’s easy to cover up their tracks. The working conditions and wages for the people who pump out those mass produced shirts are just horrible, and makes me want to cry. Forced overtime, working around the clock during busy times with no chance to sleep, and they can’t even go to the bathroom as often as one should.
Please go on creating your beautiful art, but I would love if you stopped advertising for these heartless corporations when there are so many wonderful local designers to support. Sure, they will be more expensive and with no “instantly recognizable” logo, but can you really afford to support companies like Nike and Adidas?
OooO man…my favorite Adidas moment-1994 Adidas knee-high socks with X-girl gear…so great!
That detail on the Addidas track pants isn’t a top stitch, they’re called pin tucks. Unexpected combinations, I like the accordion skirt look, not so much the wild baggy top + baggy sporty pants.. maybe at home. I wouldn’t go outside wearing them. But they do look comfy!
possibly my favorite post ever. i’m a yoga teacher and when i need to go somewhere that isn’t the studio, i find myself still using the pieces in new ways. love.
I agree with some of the comments above; the short with the skirt is lovely and just about works but the rest of the outfits make you look like someone going through a break-up – and that’s never a good look.
Totally agree.
i also wear black adidas pants all the time in the fall & winter. i’ve had the same pair for about 5 years now and without fail i wear them at least 1x a week, on the weekends going about my business. its my favorite thing in my wardrobe haha. my husband hates them btw lol (probably the main reason i wear them so much). glad to know I’m ahead of the curve!
LOVE the celine shirt with the pants…. this look is so directional.. i just think everyone commenting negatively dont really get it
Rock my Adidas, never rock Fila.
This has to be a joke; just to see how ridiculous you can look and still have people fawning over you. Brainwashed.
I’m all for a daily uniform that is classic, comfortable and suits my style. But trackpants? Adidas and Nike at that? It looks like your version of my gap sweatsuit; i.e., lazy and feeling uninspired.
I love this. I’m super inspired, by you, all the time.
I think that people can say alot behind the computer, when the keyboard talks for them.
I think people that leave negative feedback, with no ryhme or reason, no promting to be mean, they are almost, a cyber bully. And I think they should just fuck off.
Just sayin’
Keep on, keeping on.
Thank you for putting yourself out there. It ain’t easy.
Best,
Lisa
Will you be making any more of those black/pink biker jackets soon?
You look absolutely amazing in those track pants!
I’m am definitely going to the adidas shop this bank holiday weekend, I’ve gotten a sudden craving for nike & adidas tee’s and sweaters lately
